Viewing Student Progress
Accessing Student Progress
- From the teacher portal select **Student Progress" from the "Student Progress" card.
- You will be shown classes or groups of students across 3 categories:
- Year Groups - from here select the desired subject to view all the progress of all active students in that year group who study that subject.
- Your Lessons - All of the lessons for which you are a teacher will be displayed in this section for easy access.
- Other Active Classes (by subject) - This will show all lessons for which you are not a teacher, and put them into seperate subjects for easy searchability.
For any of the classes press View Progress (or for yeargroup select the name of the desired subject) to view the student progress page.
The Student Progress Page
On this page you will see a table with all the students in that class or year group. There are 2 tabs available for viewing purposes.
From either table, press the icon to view the achievement for that inividual student. This will be in the left-most column of the table.
You can also use the search box above either table to filter by name or ID.
Attendance Tab
This shows the date they completed the practical.
- The dates will be shown in the following colours
- The box will show blue if they are marked as "Present" but have not completed the practical.
- The box will show green if they are marked as "Completed" for that practical.
- The box will be yellow if they were marked as "Absent" for that practical.
- If the student has completed or attended the practical more than once, it will show the later date.
- If the student was absent for a practical, and then subsequently attended it later (either as a class practical or an ad-hoc practical), it will show the date they attended it.
- You can also see the student's details, classes, and number of completed practicals in the table.
Achievement Tab
This tab shows how many times each student has achieved each skill (or subskill). It also shows indicators for whether all skills have been achived or not.
The Practical Endorsement column will show as if the following 2 coditions are met:
- All skills for the subject have been achieved at least once.
- The student has completed at least 12 practicals (either marked as Present or Completed). Repeats of the same practical do not count towards this total.
In the table, skills with ≥1 achievements will be in green. Skills with 0 achievements will be in red.
Viewing Individual Progress
You can view individual progress by pressing the icon in the left-most column of either table.
On this page a table of basic information will be shown.
Then there are tabs for each subject that the student studies. If they only study one subject, only 1 tab will appear.
For each subject there are 3 boxes showing the overall status of that student's practical endorsement for that subject.
Within each subject tab there are 3 subtabs:
Attendance Summary
This shows a list of all attendance marks for the student, including absence marks. On this table, you can use the icon to update the attendace for any of the practicals between present or completed.
Practical Summary
This shows a table of where all the skills have been achieved or not achieved fo that subject.
- If marked as Achieved, the student achieved that skill in that practical.
- If marked as Not Achieved, the student did not achieve that skill in that practical and it was a mapped skill
- If nothing is shown, that means the skill was not mapped to that practical and the student did not achieve it as an additional skill.
Additionally, this table can be edited. If a practical is not marked as absent or has no attendance mark, the skill acheievement status can be edited. Editing can be enabled by pressing the " Edit Achieved Skills" button above the table. Simply click on the desired cell of the table and the following options will appear:
- Achieved will mark the skill as achieved for that practical. This only appears if the cell is empty or marked as "Not Achieved".
- Not Achieved will mark the skill as not achieved for that practical. This only appears if the skill is mapped to that practical and not already set as "Not Achieved".
- Clear Skill will remove the achieved status for that skill for that practical. This is only shown for skills that were not mapped to that practical and were added as additional skills.
Press " Turn off Editing" to disable editing mode.
Skills are saved upon selection instantly.
Skills Summary
This shows a table of each skill for that suubject and the student's achievement status for that skill.
The skill will show as Achieved if it has been achieved more than once. If it is a parent skill and has multiple child skills, it will only show "Achieved" if all child skills have been achieved at least once.
Partially Achieved is shown for parent skills where only some child skills have been achieved at least once.
"Not Achieved" is shown for skills that have not been achieved at all.
